𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐀 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖: 𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐁𝐘 𝐋𝐓 𝐉𝐄𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐊 𝐒𝐔𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐈 𝐁𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐉 𝐌𝐎𝐇𝐃 𝐙𝐔𝐊𝐈 (𝐑)

PUTRAJAYA, 16 July 24. YBhg Lt Jen Datuk Suhaimi bin Hj Mohd Zuki (R), former JFC, delivered a lecture to the Course Participant (CP) of the Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) Serial 53/2024 at Hikmat Hall, MAFSC, on 16 July 24 (Tuesday). The lecture title was ‘A Personal View: Ethical Challenges in Modern Warfare’. The former JFC delivered the lecture, highlighting the challenges faced by leaders and commanders in making ethical decisions and adhering to aesthetics that was aligned with human civilisation.
The purpose of the lecture was to expose the CP with ideas to prepare them to achieve the level of competence that would be required as a leader, especially in making decisions based on current need, guided by laws and guidelines that was established through national and international references.
The distinguished former JFC also discussed current global issues related to the lecture, covering previous and ongoing wars, especially those that involved ethics, humanity, and contemporary development, including technological advancements in warfare. He also shared some insightful opinions on the training requirements that were needed to prepare future leaders. At the end of the lecture, he opened the floor to the Q&A session to share views and opinions on the presented topic, ensuring a comprehensive exchange of ideas and perspectives.
The commandant of the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College, Brig Jen Zamsari bin Abu Hasan and the Head of Training Development Department, Kol Tan Lai Hock TUDM, along with all FM/DS and other senior officers also participated in the session. The lecture concluded at 1330H with the sharing of very insightful views and opinions, providing the participants with the opportunity to generate constructive ideas within the context of fulfilling human ethics in making decisions as leaders.
