BUTTERWORTH, 21st August 2024 – A total of 90 Course Participants and 12 Faculty Members/Directing Staffs from the Malaysian Command and Staff Course ‘Joint’ (MCSCJ) Serial 53/2024 conducted a North Capability and Operational Study (NCOS) visit to Butterworth Air Base (AB). The visit included No 18 Sqn and Headquarters Integrated Air Defence System (HQ IADS).
The purpose of this visit was to provide exposure towards the capability and operational study involving the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) assets, specifically in the Northern Region of Peninsular Malaysia.
The visit to Butterworth AB was led by the Head of Training Development (HTD) Kol Tan Lai Hock TUDM. The visiting delegation was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of No 18 Sqn Lt Kol Muhd Faizal bin Abd Rahim TUDM.
Activities conducted include capability and operational the briefing by No 18 Sqn and HQ IADS, the static displays of assets, featuring FA18D Hornet fighter and AW 139 helicopter.
The visit concluded with a memento exchange session as a token of appreciation and remembrance. A photo session was held prior the conclusion of the visit.
