GUBIR, 22nd August, 2024 – Course Participants (CP) of the Malaysian Command Staff Course (Joint) (MCSCJ) Serial 53/2024 had the opportunity to visit FOB Gubir Camp that was stationed in Op KOTA Sector B/C/D. At present, 16 Royal Malay Regiment (RMR) is the unit that conducts the operation in the vicinity. This visit was part of the North Capability and Operational Study (NCOS) visit.
The visit, which included 90 CP and 12 DS from the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC), aimed to provide exposure to conduct Capability and Operational Studies involving the Malaysian Army troops, particularly in the border area of Malaysia – Thailand.
The delegation was led by the Head of Training Development (HTD), Col Tan Lai Hock RMAF. The delegation was welcomed by Chief of Staff of 6 Bde, Lt Col Ahmad Azhari bin Jamaluddin and 16 RMR Commanding Officer Lt Col Shahrul Nizam bin Mat.
In addition to the visit, operational briefings was delivered to the CP. The visit concluded with a memento exchange session as a gesture of appreciation and a token of remembrance between MAFSC, HQ 6 Bde and 16 RMR.
