PUTRAJAYA, 26th Aug 2024. The Malaysian Armed Forces Command and Staff Course (MAFSC) (Joint) Serial 53/2024 gathered in Hikmat Hall to commemorate Singapore’s 59th National Day. Observed annually on 9 August, National Day marks the Lion City’s independence in 1965. The occasion was graced by Commandant MAFSC, CDS and HTD, with the current course participants MAJ Enoch Tan and MAJ Shawn Goh in attendance.
Both participants gave a brief overview of Singapore’s culture and history, whilst emphasising the close and longstanding ties with Malaysia. Their participation takes the total number of Singapore Armed Forces officers who have attended MAFSC to 66, underscoring the depth of defence relations between the two countries.
The event concluded with a cake cutting ceremony followed by a memento exchange. The college wishes Maj Enoch and Maj Shawn the very best as they fly the Singapore flag high in this course!
