PUTRAJAYA, 30th August 2024 – The Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) (MCSCJ) Serial 53/2024 assembled in Hikmat Hall to honour Indonesian’s 79th Independence Day, a significant event celebrated annually on 17 August, marking the dawn of Indonesian’s sovereignty gained in 1945. The occasion was graced by the esteemed Commandant MAFSC along with CDS and HTD. The current Overseas Course Participants from Indonesia include Maj Indhu Firmansyah of Indonesian Army, Maj Joko Aryanto of Indonesian Navy and Maj Arga Hendrawan of Indonesian Airforce.
The participants eloquently delivered an insightful briefing on the Indonesian’s rich culture and storied history, underscoring the enduring and profound ties between Indonesia and Malaysia. Their involvement elevates the total number of Indonesian National Armed Forces officers who joined the college to 88, highlighting the deep-rooted defence relationship between the two neighbouring countries.
The event culminated in a ceremonial cake cutting and a meaningful exchange of mementos. It was a memorable celebration, symbolising the shared national pride and unity between the brotherhood countries. The college extends its heartfelt wishes to Maj Indhu Firmansyah, Maj Joko Aryanto and Maj Arga Hendrawan as they proudly represented Indonesia in the prestigious course.
