𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐋 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

PUTRAJAYA 24 Sep 24, The Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) Serial 53/2024 celebrated the 9th Nepal National Day at HIKMAT Hall, MAFSC, PUSPAHANAS. This celebration was held in conjunction with the Nepal National Day, which is celebrated on 19th Sep annually.
Diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Nepal were established since 1960, which Nepal is one of the trading partners with Malaysia. These two countries also share a long history during World War II when Gurkhas played crucial role in countering Japanese invasion to Malaya that time. This shows the legacy of Gurkhas in Malaysia’s history in one extraordinary courage and selfless dedication.
The first Nepali Army graduated from MAFSC was in 1989. To date, there are a total of 16 Course Participant from Nepali Army have graduated and become MAFSC Alumni. Nepali Army Course Participant for current cohort is 𝐌𝐚𝐣 𝐒𝐮𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐭.
The Nepal National Day Celebration began at 1430 with the arrival of the Commandant, Brig Gen Zamsari bin Abu Hasan. Then continue with a Country Brief by the Course Participant, a cake-cutting ceremony and lastly subsequent event was an exchange of memento.
The event concluded with Yang Berbahagia Commandant adjourning from the hall at 1515.
