𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀’𝐒 𝟔𝟐𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐅𝐒𝐂

PUTRAJAYA, 28th October 2024 – The Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) (MCSCJ) Serial 53/2024 gathered in Hikmat Hall to commemorate Uganda’s 62nd Independence Day. This auspicious event, is celebrated annually on 9th October resembles the moment when Uganda achieved their independence and sovereignty in 1962.
The ceremony was honoured with the presence of the Head Training of Development and FM/DS, as well as current course participant, Maj James Sabiiti Wanzala, who represented Uganda for this course.
In a captivating presentation, the Maj James shared Uganda’s rich cultural heritage and significant history, while also highlighting the strong and enduring ties between Uganda and Malaysia. With the celebration, the total number of Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) officers who have attended MAFSC rose to 12, reflecting the close and growing defence cooperation between the two nations.
The event concluded with a ceremonial cake cutting and an exchange of mementos, symbolising unity and mutual respect. The MAFSC extends its warmest wishes to Maj James Sabiiti Wanzala as he continues to represent Uganda in the prestigious course.
