PUTRAJAYA, 11 Nov 24 – The third and final Officer’s Leadership and Ethics Module (OLEM 3) for the Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) Serial 53/2024 commenced this week. This crucial module aims to shape and refine the Command Philosophy of Course Participants (CP), preparing them for future command roles or joint planning appointments upon graduating from the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC).
A highlight of the first day was an insightful talk titled Navigating Challenges in Unit Command, delivered by Major General Dato’ Ts. Reizal Arif bin Tan Sri Ismail, the General Officer Commanding of the 4th Malaysian Infantry Division. Drawing from his extensive experience in military leadership, the guest speaker shared invaluable lessons on overcoming challenges, leading with integrity, and adapting to the complexities of today’s high-pressure military environments. His powerful insights provided CP with essential strategies for navigating obstacles while upholding the core values of military leadership, helping them to develop a resilient Command Philosophy.
By the end of the session, CP gained valuable strategies for facing and overcoming obstacles and doing so with a mindset that reflects the core values of military leadership. This approach ensures they are well-prepared to craft a Command Philosophy that is effective and grounded in strong ethical principles.
