SUBANG, 28th Nov 24: The Closing Ceremony of the Inter-Division Sports Competition, held in Kelab Rekreasi Tentera Udara (KRTU), Subang Air Base, marked the grand closing of the Inter-Division Sports Competition for the Malaysian Command and Staff Course (Joint) Serial 53/2024 (MCSCJ Serial 53/2024).
For the past one year, three MCSCJ Serial 53/2024 Divisions which are Jitra, Kampar and Muar have been competing among divisions on the sports competition that were carried out at various locations in Klang Valley. The sports that were competed were Badminton, Table Tennis, Football, Volleyball, Cross-Country, Bowling and Golf. These sports competitions managed to display passion, dedication and sportsmanship among the FM/DS and Course Participants of MCSCJ Serial 53/2024 in winning and participating in each sport with full commitment, patience and professionalism. Without doubt, these competitions also manage to foster and cultivate a healthy lifestyle, unify the course participants through sports, increased cooperation and team spirit in building cohesion within MCSCJ Serial 53/2024.
Below is the list of the overall winners for each sport competed in by Semester and by Division.
1. 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏
a. Badminton – Muar.
b. Table Tennis – Jitra.
2. 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐
a. Football – Jitra.
b. Volleyball – Jitra.
3. 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟑
a. Cross-Country – Jitra.
b. Bowling – Jitra.
c. Golf – Jitra.
The prize-giving ceremony in which trophies were presented to the winners of each sport was jointly presided by the Head of Training Development (HTD), Col Tan Lai Hock RMAF and Chief Directing Staff (CDS), Col Sukiman bin Mohamed Ghani.
The Overall Division winner of this Inter-Division Sports Competition for MCSCJ Serial 53/2024 was won by 𝐉𝐈𝐓𝐑𝐀. Therefore, Commandant of the MAFSC, Brig Jen Zamsari bin Abu Hasan, graced the event by presenting the Overall Division Trophy to the Senior Army Directing Staff (SADS), Lt Col Stanley anak Fredrick together with the whole Jitra’s Course Participants.
The closing ceremony concluded with a heartfelt closing speech by Commandant MAFSC, Brigadier General Zamsari bin Abu Hasan whereby he emphasized the importance of perseverance, the value of teamwork and the power of sportsmanship in facing any treacherous challenges and obstacles with full positive vibes and indomitable spirit that ultimately united everyone in the MAFSC generally and MCSCJ Serial 53/2024 specifically.
