PULAU CAREY, Selangor, 18th Dec 2024 – The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) hosted a significant session to present its Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), highlighting the development of a comprehensive and adaptive Balanced Scorecard. This initiative aligns with the vision and mission outlined in the National Centre for Defence Studies’ (PUSPAHANAS) Strategic Map 2025-2030.
The session commenced with an engaging presentation by the Commandant of MAFSC, Brigadier General Zamsari bin Abu Hasan, to Vice Admiral Datuk Sabri bin Zali, President of PUSPAHANAS. Brigadier General Zamsari outlined a well-defined list of KRAs and KPIs, along with innovative solutions to address existing gaps. These strategies are designed to redefine and guide MAFSC’s strategic functions in support of the overarching vision and mission of PUSPAHANAS. The session provided valuable insights into the critical role of the Balanced Scorecard as a strategic tool for achieving organisational goals while addressing identified challenges.
Vice Admiral Datuk Sabri bin Zali followed with a compelling address, offering his perspectives and guidance on leveraging the Balanced Scorecard to its fullest potential. He emphasised the importance of creatively and sustainably designing KRAs and KPIs to establish a robust strategic framework. His remarks underscored the need for innovative approaches to fortify MAFSC’s functional contributions, ensuring alignment with the long-term objectives of the PUSPAHANAS Strategic Map 2025-2030.
The session fostered productive discussions among MAFSC’s Principal Staff and Directing Staff, enhancing their collective understanding of strategic planning and execution. It marked a pivotal step forward in strengthening MAFSC’s role as a critical enabler of the nation’s defense objectives.
